DESIGN + BUILD: 1/1 Timber Workshop

What if we didn’t just occupy the campus, but truly settled in?

This workshop invites students to transform their theoretical knowledge into 1:1 scale spatial interventions within the open areas of the campus. Beyond design and construction, the process unfolds through a series of seminars, technical site visits, material explorations, and collaborative studio sessions throughout the semester. Each stage feeds the next, thinking, testing, discussing, and building together. The workshop aims to produce demountable, portable, and sustainable wooden units that accommodate functions such as seating, resting, and viewing, contributing to high-quality social interaction spaces on campus.
